The Prodical Son (Luke 15: 11-32)

The Prodigal Son

11And He said, "A man had two sons.
12"The younger of them said to his father, 'Father, give me (A)the share of the estate that falls to me ' So he divided his (B)wealth between them.
13"And not many days later, the younger son gathered everything together and went on a journey into a distant country, and there he squandered his estate with loose living.
14"Now when he had spent everything, a severe famine occurred in that country, and he began to be impoverished.
15"So he went and hired himself out to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
16"And he would have gladly filled his stomach with the pods that the swine were eating, and no one was giving anything to him.
17"But when he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired men have more than enough bread, but I am dying here with hunger!
18'I will get up and go to my father, and will say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight;
19I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me as one of your hired men."'
20"So he got up and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion for him, and ran and (C)embraced him and kissed him.
21"And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.'
22"But the father said to his slaves, 'Quickly bring out (D)the best robe and put it on him, and (E)put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet;
23and bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat and celebrate;
24for this son of mine was (F)dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.' And they began to celebrate.
25"Now his older son was in the field, and when he came and approached the house, he heard music and dancing.
26"And he summoned one of the servants and began inquiring what these things could be.
27"And he said to him, 'Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has received him back safe and sound.'
28"But he became angry and was not willing to go in; and his father came out and began pleading with him.
29"But he answered and said to his father, 'Look! For so many years I have been serving you and I have never neglected a command of yours; and yet you have never given me a young goat, so that I might celebrate with my friends;
30but when this son of yours came, who has devoured your (G)wealth with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him.'
31"And he said to him, 'Son, you have always been with me, and all that is mine is yours.
32'But we had to celebrate and rejoice, for this brother of yours was (H)dead and has begun to live, and was lost and has been found.'"

This reading has been read to me and I have heard so many sermons about this great parable that teachs us about God. God will always accept us back into his light when we realize our acts against God and come back to the fold of the lord. The beauty of all of the bible is to learn to be loving, patient, humble, and we are all teachers and can reach a certain type of people with our own struggles and crosses that we bear as humans and followers of Jesus in his footprints in the sands of life and time as we reach the end of the path we must realize to either repent or be punished for an eternity for what we have done in our lives.

This story touched me because I have been the son that was always there and was angry for a stray to be celebrated for him/her coming back to the the church. I have realized that I was touched and was able to do my work as a person of God and the light to bring as many of the stray sons that took their wealth and carelessly used it on the wrong things in life. There is one in my life that I have tried to return them back to the light of god for about 8 to a year now. I have found it out that she is slowly making it back to the light. It is happy she has return to going to church and prayer before they go to sleep and when the sun touches them in the morning and warms their heart and soul. God had taken them back into the house of the righteous.

I hope you enjoy the interreflections of my studies and how it interrelates to my life and my spirit on earth. God be with you all. Amen.

Lost coin of a treasure of souls (Luke 15:8-10)

Luke 15:8-10 (New American Standard Bible)

The Lost Coin

8"Or what woman, if she has ten silver coins and loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? 9"When she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin which I had lost!'
10"In the same way, I tell you, there is joy (A)in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."

___________________________________________________________________

As I read this parable within in interreflection on my pool of tears of memories as I search my depths of my moments. I realize the angels of god always have either found my friends and was able to see the difference when the were found by one of God's angels after they strayed from the bible for some materialist way or felt God forgotten them. I myself have felt some way or another the same way. I have had times when I knew the presence of God among me. I remember a day in spring just when the winds came around and swept the cold and brought the warm winds of summer towards my soul. I found on the ground in the light colored grass that was regrowing a piece of paper that talked to me about a passage in the bible. I was touched for what the passage was within the torn and tattered paper. The angels searched and search and finally was able to bring this paper to me. Basically symbolizing my torn and tattered soul that was bare and naked because I have strayed away from God but now God reminded be and calls me back. Once I set foot back in the lords house and the sands of where Jesus walked and I see the footprints of my teacher to walk to the Lords mansion through Jesus's sacred heart. I realize my creator is rejoyousing in me returning to the treasure of souls in gods kingdom which lies in our heart and will always be close if we ever stray from the light and the glory of our savior and father. God be with you all. Amen.

Lost Sheep: Luke 15:1-7

How we all been the Lost Sheep

Luke 15

The Lost Sheep

1Now all the (A)tax collectors and the sinners were coming near Him to listen to Him.
2Both the Pharisees and the scribes began to grumble, saying, "This man receives sinners and (B)eats with them."
3So He told them this parable, saying,
4"(C)What man among you, if he has a hundred sheep and has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open pasture and go after the one which is lost until he finds it?
5"When he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6"And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!'
7"I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.

__________________________________________________________

As I have read this in church and on my own or in Sunday school, it has always showed me that I have strayed alittle from the flock ones or twice in my life. However, I was always found by a shephard of the lord or a sign has happen where God showed me he still loved me and wanted me back. In my prayers that I say for others for God to help and in reverse for my creator lord god, I have been taught that I need to repent for my acts against my fellow brother and sister of god. I realize I must help other reach the teaching and the light of Jesus's teaching in the bible by interrelating to modern day for them to understand that the bible is not out dater but is the foundation of alot of things that happen to us today and definitely happens to me all the time. I can feel god is in the middle of it all.

I know God waits for me to repent for my sins so he will bring me back to the flock of humanity of the righteous and I know I am not perfect because we are human and we are bound to do error but it is our saving grace to try to save our souls by loving one another and to bring back the stray sheep that has forgotten or misunderstood God in some way or the other. If we can save our brethern then we should at least try to bring them back to the fold of the flock or pray for them to come back. God would appreciate what we have done and realize we are loving and care about our fellow sheep or human. I hope you enjoy the interperspective of my journey throught he bible. God with you all and bless you with health and love. Amen

The Great Banquet: Luke 14:15-24

Luke 14:15-24 (New American Standard Bible)

15When one of those who were reclining at the table with Him heard this, he said to Him, "(A)Blessed is everyone who will eat bread in the kingdom of God!"

Parable of the Dinner

16But He said to him, "(B)A man was giving a big dinner, and he invited many; 17and at the dinner hour he sent his slave to say to those who had been invited, 'Come; for everything is ready now.'
18"But they all alike began to make excuses. The first one said to him, 'I have bought a piece of land and I need to go out and look at it; please consider me excused.'
19"Another one said, 'I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to try them out; please consider me excused.'
20"Another one said, '(C)I have married a wife, and for that reason I cannot come.'
21"And the slave came back and reported this to his master. Then the head of the household became angry and said to his slave, 'Go out at once into the streets and lanes of the city and bring in here the poor and crippled and blind and lame.'
22"And the slave said, 'Master, what you commanded has been done, and still there is room.'
23"And the master said to the slave, 'Go out into the highways and along the hedges, and compel them to come in, so that my house may be filled.
24'For I tell you, none of those men who were invited shall taste of my dinner.'"

************************************************************************************

Luke writes the Parable about how God invites all of us to heaven. However, as the story goes all that were invited made excuses. But all wanted to come to the dinner. We all say we want to go to heaven but, we all end up making excuses not to follow the Gospel or to spread the beautiful teachings of the bible to others. Many of us make excuses not to pray to god in the morning, lunch time, and dinner; go to church on Sunday; and to repent for our acts against gods teachings in the bible.

I have through out my life have run into friends that I went to sunday school with or went to church and have asked why I did not see them last week or a whole month and they tell me either they could not get up early enough for mass or was not able to come because of a sporting event on TV or something else they felt was a good excuse. However, if my friends realized that they basically made an excuse not to follow the ways of god and end up pretty much making an excuse not to come to heaven and get in when God calls us to go to the next chapter of our life, the eternal life, basic we are going to end up in the pit of fire for us not praying, following gods teachings, and repenting for our actions against god. I remember the peers that I had that made an excuse for not going to church or sunday school because the were either to tired well are you going to tell God when he invites to heaven that you are to tired? What would you say if he asked you to go to heaven and you said you are too tired? Would say that if you realized it was an indirect way of getting into heaven. I feel we would obey and follow Gods invitation through the word of the lord in the Bible teachings throughout the ages and all the biblical books and teachings.

May god be with you all. Amen.

A Seed of Faith

Parables of Mustard Seed; Luke 13:18-19

18So (S)He was saying, "(T)What is the kingdom of God like, and to what shall I compare it?
19"It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and threw into his own garden; and it grew and became a tree, and (U)THE BIRDS OF THE AIR NESTED IN ITS BRANCHES."

____________________________________________________

When I first heard this passage and parable of the Mustard seed, I did not quite understand it until I asked my priest about it around the age of 12 years old the meaning of a mustard seed growing and creating a tree for birds to make nest within the branches of it. Once the priest explain the whole meaning then I totally understand the meaning of the passage and have reflected it upon my life to help others.

I have had the mustard seed since baptizism and throughout my life. It grew within my heart creating the word known as Faith. Faith within god had given me the will to help other people who look for the light and want to find the love within their souls and realize that god has not stopped love them but the people are the ones who had forgotten the kingdom of the lord within their hearts and souls. It has always been there but people seem to forget the faith that the lords son preached to us and taught us through the writtings of the bible and to modern times to spread the guidence to others to follow the footprints of Jesus's sandal to the light through the narrow door into the sacred heart of Jesus and up to the spirit world known as Heaven to the mansion upon the clouds where the light is on and he is waiting for you in your special room in the mansion.

The parable to me is that god planted the seed and we as his followers have to give it just enough water, food, light and love everyday for the mustard seed to grow for gods love to blossom and grow within your heart and soul. To help god as his instruments upon the flesh of earth to guide and sow the soil by planting the seeds of gods love within the soil of their hearts to grow and love one another and to forgive each other and to move and find the doorway to gods Mansion.

I pray that you will understand the parable of the mustard seed because if you believe then your mustard seed will grow into your shelter and inturn produce food and a place for you and your future children to live in once you have planted the seeds within your children and leave them with a tree from love, teaching of god, and the beauty of the hands of god in the form of the rays of the sun everyday as god greets us all with the rising of the sun and the beauty he shows us everyday and the setting of the sun to the rising of the moon.

God bless you all and may god bring faith, love, and peace to you all. Amen

Do you know what it means "The Lords Prayer"?

The Lords Prayer; Luke 11:2-4

Standard Latin

Pater noster, qui es in caelis,
Sanctificetur nomen tuum.
Adveniat regnum tuum.
Fiat voluntas tua,
Sicut in caelo et in terra.
Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie.
Et dimitte nobis debita nostra,
Sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris.
Et ne nos inducas in tentationem:
Sed libera nos a malo.
Amen.

American Translation

Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

_____________________________

As far as I could remember, I have said this prayer with the utmost true meaning of this prayer. This prayer summarizes the entire gospel and the ministry of the Lords Son, Jesus, who died for the sins of the world and ascended to heaven. When Jesus was in physical form walking the earth before he was crucified, he worked very hard to teach as many as he could and to pass on the love and teaching of his father God to his twelve to pass to others to pass the word of the lord and his love to others. This prayer is the foundation of every prayer for asking the lord to help us with the day to day material world of temptation and the acts of others who tempt us to do sinful tasks for Lucifer that was defeated by St. Michael the Archangel and God threw Lucifer to the depths of Hell for his malice, ignorance, and vanity. The sinfulness surround all Humanity but we must read the Old and New Convenant, the old promise and the new promise of Jesus who brought his Ministry to the ones that were less righteous and brought them to the light. Teaching to share and love one another.

We all go through hard times and this prayer has given me the foundation to strengthen my faith and to bring others to the light. Only to guide and to teach the tools to the less righteous. Like the one story that I have heard time and time again,

"A man comes up to a fisherman and say may I have a fish. The fisherman replies no I will not just feed you. So the man was upset and asked why? The fisherman man says I will do better because you area fellowman. I will teach you how to fish and you can feed yourself all the time. My knowledge was given to me by the work of the lord. I can only guide and you must be the first to cast your hook into the sea of fish of knowledge to learn and feed yourself. I can only guide not do it for you or force you to drink of the water. You must learn first and then you can eat of the fish."

I learn everyday about the bible that I studied through out my youth and realized that I see it in my own life what had happen in the parables and the life of Jesus within the the Gospels that I did read and now read today.

I say the Our father all the time to ask for salvation and forgiveness to the ones who ask me for prayer and love. I ask for god to help them all that I love and ones that have asked me to help them. "Our Father" has helped me get through the day and my life. Because I have faith in the lord and he lives inside my heart and soul. God be with you all who read this and Peace to all Humanity. Amen.

Rich Fool Luke 12:13-34

The Parable of the Rich Fool

13Someone in the crowd said to him, "Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me."
14Jesus replied, "Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?" 15Then he said to them, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."
16And he told them this parable: "The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop. 17He thought to himself, 'What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.'
18"Then he said, 'This is what I'll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19And I'll say to myself, "You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry." '
20"But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?'
21"This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God."
Do Not Worry 22Then Jesus said to his disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. 23Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. 24Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! 25Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life[a]? 26Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?
27"Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 28If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! 29And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. 30For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.
32"Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. 33Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will not be exhausted, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. 34For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

When I was going through a rough time, I was going to church with my brother Mathew who has aways been there for me and has reminded me that God will always be there for me and if I forgotten god and wanted to return to him God would talk me with open arms because God never stop loving me.

The rich fool reminds me that I have always been provided because my soul was strong and that god like the Ravens gave food to them and shelter when a storm came. To give my possessions to the lord and I will be wealthy in spirit and be able to pass to the lord when my time would come. Within Luke as I read this passage once more I realize how similar what I went through that I had everything and my wife of the time cheated upon me three times but I steadfast and did my best to believe in the lord and what the signs around me that he gave me so I could love and be loved by God and his teaching. My youngest brother Mathew provided with I needed love and compassion. In addition, my good friend Sean, Jeffrey, and Melissa all came to me when I was hurt and unloved by the one that I took the sacrement of Marriage with when I thought she knew what the oath meant. God help her find the words of the bible in her life and that she finds love within you lord. I learned that you have provided me with the richness of not the material world but of the spiritual world and what Jesus walked when he was teaching the disiples of the deeds of what good people should do unto others to find the narrow path to the lord when the time comes for them to find salvation and the doorway to your mansion lord. Thank you lord for your lessons within life and that I may help others in your name.

Luke 10:25-37; Saint of Travel.

The Parable of the Good Samaritan

Luke 10:25-37

And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to in hert eternal life?" He said to him, "What is written in the law? What do you read there?" and he answered, " You shall love the lord your god with all your heart , and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself." And he said to him, "You have answered right; do this, and you will live."

But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, "And who is my neghbor?" Jesus replied , "A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jerico, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him and departed, leaving him half dead. Now by chance a periest was going down that road; and when he saw him he passed by on the other side. So likwise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was; and when he saw him, he had compassion, and went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; then he set him on his own beast and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. And the next day he took out tow denarii and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, 'Take care of him; and whatevermore you spend, I will repay you when I come back.' Which of these three, do you think, proved neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?" He said, "The one who showed mercy on him."
And Jesus said to him, "GO and do likewise."

As I read this passage when I was younger, I did not really understand how God sends guardian angels or affect others to help you in some way when you most need it. As the say goes, "You are never alone because you follow god and have faith within him." This say has been true with several real life events that I have encountered since I moved out to Washington DC area on my own and simply kept faith in the Lord and have done what is has asked me too. The Good Samaritan is a story no matter how old it is has been dear to my heart. This story I am going to tell you is true and I know God had a hand in playing out in it. I have tried to be good and help others as much as possible and seeing they are of what God whats me to deliever and I am only an empty vessel that I pass guideness from him to others that are in desparate need of guideness within life. Please enjoy the story.

The good Taxi Driver

In 1997, when I asked to show on a Friday night the awesome spots to go out and dance and have a good time with 5 or 6 interns from a different program from another internship program from that brought Texas interns in for a semester. One of the interns had a car and drove it up to Washington DC area. They in actuality did not live that far from me and I was one turn off from them. This story reflects how God watches the ones that do good deed to others in a time of need.

On a Friday night after work, I went to San Antonio Bar and Grill to catch the happy hour with a drink and free taco bar all you can eat. I went there and it was during the winter time around end of November to early December. I notice a young woman that I interned with over the summer when I was staying at Catholic University off of the Red line Metro station near Maryland. Well she said she was going to meet some of her friends here from Texas that she used to go to school with in Houston, Texas.

Then the arrive two girls and 3 guys in total finally arrived from where ever they were interning in the government and within the city. They were staying on Route seven off of 395 interstate in Northern Virginia. I stayed off the next exit down from them towards Landmark area. However, we got to know each other and I was introduced to all of them. In return, I traveled with all of them after happy hour into the DC night life. I never mind helping in order that they took me home afterwards.

Well mind you that the metro in Washington DC closed at 12midnight and not like it does now in 2007 which now it closes at 3am. So, I brought them to the Cellar for all you can drink to get them happy and all. Then I took them to Lulu's to go into and have fun as well then we jumped to Decades which use to be in front of the FBI build and around the corner from Hard rock Cafe which the closed down some time ago.

So on our way out of the city the decide to say that I live far away and kick me out in front of the Wilson Hotel near the White House. I was quite upset but I realize that what the did to me would come back to them because only god can judge and set punishment upon the ones that do not show love on their fellow human. After I show them all these cool places and had fun, I was kicked out of the car and I went to talk to the bell man at the hotel to get me a cab and I told them I did not have enough for a cab because I lived near the end of 395 which turns into 495 and finally to 95 towards Richmond, VA.

The Bell man from the hotel which was god sent called a cab driver that was getting off of work and picked me up and he inturn to pay for my fare picked up to young ladies of college age and brought them to some party. He say that I was a good person and he was middle eastern and he drove me all the way home and I did not have to pay him but he told me when the lord asks you to help someone please do what I have done for you. In the kindness of the heart and the word of the lord and the love that Jesus has taught us. Just like in the good samaritan in Luke 10:25-37.

I have found the scripture is quite true and as long as you follow God and do good deed for others and showing love to one another. God will always have his angels around you and when you are in time of need he will carry you. God bless you all.
